Information -
Newenden Bridge – upcoming weekend closures

Newenden bridge is to go under some major repairs over the weekends of 28th Feb-1st Mar, 7-8th Mar and 14-15th Mar.

Each weekend the bridge will be closed from 07:00 Saturday to 19:00 Sunday.

To offer help locally we will be allowing our car park to be used by the staff (staff only!) of the White Hart pub on the Kent side of the bridge.

A combination lock, set to our usual combination, will be added to our own lock.

If KAPS members want to fish here over these weekends, the White Hart pub car park will be available to them so as to avoid a long detour to get to the Sussex side

Stocking at Paddlesworth, Snodland.

In accordance with the clubs stocking program we had our annual delivery of stock at the Paddlesworth complex on Sunday 2nd November 2025, consisting of 20 number C5 fish from our vendor VS Fisheries and delivered by Simon Scott himself.

C5 means these fish have been in existence 5 summers, they were spawned in May 2021.

The weights, as you can see in the pictures ranged from 14lb 8ozs to 19lb 8ozs, they are all superb fish, as we would expect from such a good fishery.

9 Mirror and 1 Common carp were introduced into the Pollard lake with 8 Mirror and 2 Common carp were introduced into the Rugby lake.

We will continue to monitor their growth with the aid of members reporting their catch. Tight lines.”
