The society runs an active match section and hold a range of matches, throughout the season. Match dates are detailed on the membership cards and are open to all members of the society regardless of age or gender except for the Wednesday matches that are for the over 60’s.  On occasions the matches are invitation only but you can still vent your interest as there could be places available. All Society matches are friendly and informal and no one takes the competition too seriously (or do they!).
 

The draw for most matches is at 07:45.

Dave Day is still hoping someone will come forward to attend the committee meetings when he can’t. If you are able to do this please email me your name and contact number. Dave works very hard at setting up the Society competitions. He has been asked on several occasions about what members have to do to take part. It’s very easy – just turn up in time for the draw. You do not have to make prior arrangement. Pools are optional. Venues are subject to change on the day in the event of flooding etc. So, if you want to join and fish one of our matches, just turn up.
