Now that the Covid infection rate has fallen significantly we are pleased to announce that all KAPS venues will re-open from Tuesday 23rd February 2021.

All venues will be open for day fishing only from 7a.m. to 6p.m. There will be no night fishing.

There will be no guest tickets and only members should enter the fisheries.

Site toilets will not be available.

We hope that members will observe all current government restrictions including social distancing, and only local travel. Current club Covid-19 rules will remain in force and should be followed.

Recent weather conditions have been such that all venues are very wet underfoot and members should take great care when moving around the lakes and rivers. The rivers, in particular, have been very high with some flooding of neighbouring fields; the levels are only just starting to return to safer levels.

Paddlesworth, with its clay substrate, is only slowly drying out and all slopes and steps should be negotiated with extreme caution.

Your committee has been heartened by the expressions of support that they received after making the very difficult decision to close the venues because of the local infection rates. Thank you for your co-operation.

The situation will be constantly monitored and we will ease the restrictions as soon as possible.

We will be pleased to hear of the capture of any of the new Carp stock that were introduced to Paddlesworth during December.    TIGHT LINES!
